The club was organized in 2003 and has grown quite a bit through the years. You will find us at car shows and events around Wisconsin and occasionally in the neighboring states!
The Road Apples host weekly cruise nights at Culver's East Towne in Madison from May to September. At times you will find the Road Apples to be an animated club, but it's all in fun because as you will realize, we're all good friends beyond the cruise nights, car shows and other events we attend. We enjoy helping each other out with that mechanical issue that won't go away, that last body panel that needs some extra attention, and supporting each other through the good and bad times in life.
In 2008 we were asked to revive a show at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie and took on the challenge! The 3rd Annual Saturday in the Park Car & Truck Show was held on June 25, 2011. We were elated to exceed the number of entrants from last year and very happy to see so many spectators from the area join us for the day! A Chevrolet engine was given away this year to one lucky participant along with several other terrific prizes, plenty of excellent food and free ice cream from Schoeps!
One objective of our show is to encourage good fellowship and sportsmanship by promoting an interest in classic cars & trucks, while welcoming in the generation that enjoys newer vehicles. A portion of the proceeds from the event will go to the Sun Prairie Dream Park and the River Food Pantry located in Madison.
We hope you will join us on June 30, 2012 for the 4th Annual Saturday in the Park Car, Truck & Motorcycle show that will include a swap meet and even more surprises we have up our sleeves!
We are an active club; our calendar includes activities ranging from car shows, road trips, a club picnic in the fall and a winter dinner party. Once the cruise nights end, we host monthly meetings at Culvers normally on the second Tuesday of every month; anyone is welcome to join us!
